Gueydan High School will work collaboratively as a community of learners to increase student engagement and opportunities for success. All members of our school community will strive to be lifelong learners, growing together and supporting each other in our efforts. We will aim to identify the strengths and gifts of each member of our school family and support each other in using our talents to positively contribute to a global society.

Gueydan High School's spirit colors are red and white. Black is not an official school color. It was added to accentuate our original, official colors.

G.H.S. is a Leader in Me School
Gueydan High School is a Leader in Me School, which means that our students and staff participate in activities to build leadership qualities through learning and putting into practice the Habits of Highly Effective People. Our school aims to develop the whole person and encourage leadership through empowerment and a growth mindset. By building confidence and leadership skills in our staff and students, we are preparing our school community to be lifelong learners and positive contributors in a global society, aligning our actions with the words expressed in our mission statement.
