This is my 32nd year of teaching. This is my 1st year back at GHS after being at Vermilion Catholic for 4 years.
What was your favorite subject when you were in school?
Science
What do you love most about being a Gueydan Bear?
I love being back home, to the place I attended school: High School, Middle School, and Elementary School. All of my education prior to college was achieved in these same buildings and by walking these same halls and grounds. The elementary building caught on fire when I was in Middle School and was replaced by our current Gymnasium. I was able to enjoy, as a student, the new gym for a couple of years.
Who or what inspired you to be a teacher?
My maternal grandmother who was a teacher. Every Sunday my family would visit her and when I was old enough she would allow me to grade her test papers. I loved doing that back then. lol Being a teacher and a lifelong learner was definitely inspired by her.
