On Thursday, December 7, 2023, Dr. Tiffini Brigola was named the 2023-2024 Assistant Principal of the Year by the board of the Louisiana Association of Principals. Students, faculty, family members, and Vermilion Parish leadership - including Superintendent Tommy Byler and Assistant Superintendents Marc Turner and Kim Etie - were on hand to surprise Dr. Brigola with the announcement, which serves as recognition for all of Dr. Brigola's hard work and dedication to the students, faculty, and community of Gueydan as a whole. We cannot express how thankful we are that Dr. Brigola has made GHS her home; she is an amazing administrator and an even better person.
After recognizing Dr. Brigola, Vermilion Parish Superintendent Tommy Byler addressed the students and faculty at GHS, where he presented them with a banner recognizing their substantial growth over the last year as a school. He also talked to them about setting high goals and achieving them. If they do what they're capable of, the sky is the limit!
