The Kaplan High School chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America has partnered with the Louisiana State Police and the Louisiana Passenger Safety Taskforce to host a FREE community child safety seat installation check at KHS on April 29th from 10 AM-1 PM. Certified child passenger safety technicians and instructors will be on hand to provide information to caregivers on the proper use of child restraints as well as installation guidance, current laws, and tips on how children should be secured. It is estimated that more than half of all child safety restraints are improperly installed!

This Week at GHS - April 10th through April 16th
5th and 6th grade band members from Jesse Owens and Gueydan High joined other students from Herod, FIEB, JH Williams, and Seventh Ward at host school Indian Bayou for the 2023 Band Day! They spent the morning practicing together before putting on a concert for parents. There were over 200 band students today, and they ALL did a great job!
