While the Bears fell short to Elton Indians during the first half, they capped off the jamboree with a strong second-half performance, taking down Beekman Charter to close out the night on a high note and giving the Bears momentum heading into the regular season

GHS was well represented at Saturday's 2025 Gueydan Duck Festival Grand Parade! The band, football team, cheerleaders, and Junior Grand Marshals Blaise Hebert and Kennedi LeBlanc were all there being part of our great Duck Festival celebration!

Biology students investigated cohesive forces today. Cohesion is responsible for maintaining blood flow in animals, the transport of water in plants, and also plays a major role in preventing lung collapse.
On Sunday, August 31st, the Junior Auxiliary of Vermilion is hosting the JA Jewels event for Vermilion parish students that need dresses, shirts/pants, shoes, etc. for upcoming Homecoming events. All you need to do is bring your ID!
Mrs. Cynthia’s Fine Arts students had to team up and create a one of a kind sculpture! They all did amazing, showed creativity, strong teamwork, and had a blast!

Mrs. Cynthia’s Arts & Craft Small Business Enrichment Class students began to learn to crochet today. They made some beautiful crochet chains on their first day!

GHS Faculty and Staff are ready to welcome back our Bears. Gates will open at 7:20. Students may be dropped off at the back gate by the band room. New schedules will be handed out to students before entering the main building. All students should be in uniform. It will not be a jeans day.
GHS Seniors, Kennedi Leblanc and Blaise Hebert, were honored as the 2025 Jr Grande Marshal's last night at the Gueydan Duck Festival Wine and Cheese.
